Toronto English Country Dance Assembly
Weekly dance ** CHANGE OF VENUE Friday August 23 only:  Willowdale Presbyterian-------> We dance every Friday, from 6:30 to 9:00, at the Ralph Thornton Centre (http://www.ralphthornton.org), 765 Queen Street East (Toronto), two blocks east of Broadview Avenue. We are usually on the second floor.  Please check the schedule posted by the elevator, just on the left when you enter the building. Admission is free, although donations are helpful.
All are welcome.  Dances are taught, and prompted while being danced.  Newcomers are always welcome, and we’ll teach you what you need to know.  You don’t need to bring a partner, and most people don’t; even those who do bring a partner mostly dance with other partners, as we switch partners every dance. Dress is casual.  Wear flat, soft-soled shoes and comfortable clothes. Here is a sample video showing what English Country Dance is like. This video contains excerpts from one of our special Saturday dances. This is a list of dances we have danced over the past few years.
Starting September 10, 2019, we are also dancing every Tuesday, from 7:00 to 9:00, at Willowdale Presbyterian Church, 38 Ellerslie Avenue, just a five minute walk from North York Centre subway station. There is free parking at the church. Suggested minimum donation $5.
