Toronto English Country Dance Assembly
Weekly dance We dance every Friday, from 6:30 to 9:00, at the Ralph Thornton Centre (http://www.ralphthornton.org), 765 Queen Street East (Toronto), two blocks east of Broadview Avenue. We are usually on the second floor.  Please check the schedule posted by the elevator, just on the left when you enter the building. NOTE: The elevator will be out of service until at least May. Also note: Entrance during construction will sometimes be from Saulter Street; please check for notices on the main door. All are welcome.  Dances are taught, and prompted while being danced. Newcomers are always welcome, and we’ll teach you what you need to know.  You don’t need to bring a partner, and most people don’t; even those who do bring a partner mostly dance with other partners, as we switch partners every dance. Admission is free, although donations are helpful. Here is a sample video showing what English Country Dance is like. This video contains excerpts from one of our special Saturday dances. This is a list of dances we have danced over the past few years.
